Volunteering Application

We are looking for Southern Arizona Heritage and Visitor Center Volunteers to represent our region with enthusiasm and pride. We currently have 4-hours shifts (both AM and PM) available 7-days a week. Our greatest need is Saturday and Sunday and volunteers available on those days will be considered first.

Please complete this application form if you are interested in becoming a Visitor Center Volunteer. Once you complete the form, click the submit button at the bottom and our Visitor Center Coordinator will contact you within 10 days to follow up. Thank you for your interest and support!

Volunteer applicants will be contacted by the Visitor Center Coordinator to meet and review the Volunteer Handbook and expectations for Southern Arizona Heritage and Visitor Center (SAHVC) volunteer positions. Each volunteer candidate is required to become be certified as “Certified Tourism Ambassador” (CTA) by participating in the training and certification program within 30 days of starting as a volunteer and to renew this certification each year to remain a volunteer. Volunteers are also required to attend continuing education sessions (in-house and at member venues) in order to stay abreast with tourism information to better serve our visitors. The CTA costs $45 and remains with the candidate as long as he/she keeps it current. Each volunteer is asked to remain a Southern Arizona Heritage and Visitor Center Volunteer for a minimum of 1 full year. I understand and agree that submitting this application form does not automatically register me as a SAHVC volunteer, and that Pima County and Visit Tucson reviews each and every application carefully in light of the current business need at the Visitor Center. Applicants will be contacted for an interview if their qualifications, interests and availability match our needs. I understand the minimum standards of participation for volunteers at the Southern Arizona Heritage and Visitor Center as outlined above and commit to fulfilling these requirements in order to remain active as a volunteer at the SAHVC. I understand that if I am unable to fulfill these commitments on an on-going basis, I may be asked to resign from the SAHVC Volunteer Program. By checking "checked" below, I am acknowledging that I have read, understand and agree to the above.
